If you’ve decided where you’re going on holiday, you’ll now have a few other important considerations to make. One of those considerations is the hotel you’re going to be staying at – there are usually so many to choose from, how are you supposed to decide?! This post will give you a list of things to consider, so you can easily choose the perfect hotel to fit your needs:
How Close is it to the Beach?
If you like sunbathing by the sea on your holidays, then you’re going to want your hotel to be in walking distance of the beach. If it’s too far away, you won’t be able to go as often, or you may end up spending a fortune on taxi rides.
What Other Amenities are Close By?
Do you have a supermarket close by? Things to see and do? If not, then you may not have the greatest time on your holiday. Make sure everything you could possibly need is within your reach.
What are the Reviews Like?
There will always be reviews online for every hotel you could possibly think of, so make sure you take a look at those first. Bear in mind that there are likely to be a few neutral/negative reviews as well as positive reviews, so try not to be put off by the smallest negative comment. Obviously if the reviews are more bad than good, you should select a different hotel.
Does it Have a Pool?
Some days you may want to relax by the hotel pool, but some hotels don’t have one even in this day and age! Make sure there’s a pool if that’s what you’d like, but also try to find out from reviews whether the pool is kept clean. The hotel should be using filters, like the swimming pool filters from 1st Direct!
Does it Seem Reasonably Priced?
If the hotel fits within your budget and seems reasonable, then you should consider it. However, if a hotel seems overpriced or could make you go over your budget, go with your gut and forget it. Stick to your budget to have the best time.
Can You Find Pictures?
There should always be pictures of the hotel online, so look on sites like Trip Advisor to get a good idea of what to expect. Bear in mind that photos taken by the hotel themselves will always look better than photos taken by real people.
Do They Welcome Children?
Whether or not the hotel welcomes children could be considered a good or a bad point to you. If you’re planning on taking your children, then of course this is a good point. However, if you’re looking for a relaxed, adult holiday then you may not want to be around screaming, crying, loud children. It’s down to you and your own personal preference!
Once you’ve taken all of these things into consideration you should be able to choose the perfect holiday hotel to compliment your stay. Have fun!
