You may have been caravaning for years, or you may be new to this great way of holidaying. Unless you’re one of those people who honks when you get stuck behind one on the road. But if you’re thinking of trying a caravan out for size, try hiring one first to see how you get on with it. It can take a little while to get used to towing a caravan – particularly in terms of parking and reversing.

Recently voted as the top Australian Caravan Park in Australia, this coastal resort is a perfect place to stop and explore Victoria’s rugged coastline. For example, the Twelve Apostles. The park is approximately 250km south-west of Melbourne, and close to many spectacular coastal attractions.
BIG4 Forster-Tuncurry Great Lakes Holiday Park
You can park your caravan right on the shore of Wallis Lake at this idyllic holiday oasis, with plenty of on-site attractions to keep the whole family entertained. And at just a 3.5 hour drive North of Sydney, it won’t take long to get there either.
Port Arthur Holiday Park, Tasmania
If you fancy a little history with your holiday, head to Tasmania. For campers, there is a vehicle hire Hobart airport by LeisureRent, and similar services are available at Launceston airport too. Those interested could hire an RV and head to Port Arthur Holiday Park. It is close to many unique and iconic historic sites. You can choose from en-suite, powered, and unpowered pitches depending on your preferences.

Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park
Only an hour’s drive from Adelaide on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, this family friendly park has both ocean views and a pool. It’s also a great base for exploring the wineries at Mclaren Vale and for visiting Kangaroo Island.
