5 Of Australia’s Top Caravan Parks

Whether you’re a ‘grey nomad’, an empty nester or you love taking your family on holiday with you, caravan trips are an increasingly popular way to explore Australia. You may have been caravaning for years, or you may be new to this great way of holidaying. Unless you’re one of those people who honks when you get stuck behind one on the road. In which case, this might not be your cup of tea!

But if you’re thinking of trying a caravan out for size, try hiring one first to see how you get on with it. It can take a little while to get used to towing a caravan – particularly in terms of parking and reversing.

Your local caravan dealer may well let you practice at their lot – particularly if it helps them secure a sale. Then you can view their range of new and second hand caravans at the same time. Or, try visiting a caravan show and getting some help from a professional instructor.

Once you’ve bought your van, how do you decide where to go? You may have a specific destination in mind, or you may just fancy taking to the open road and seeing where you end up. Here is a list of some of Australia’s best caravan parks.
